When you have an upcoming construction project that needs professional attention, Rex Bishop & Son is on hand to provide a leading service that won’t let you down. From small to large tasks, we can tackle a wide range of demolition and site clearances across the country.
From domestic properties to flats, factory buildings, hospitals and piers, we’re also specialists in controlled demolition and soft-strip deconstruction even in the most challenging of environments. Using industry-standard equipment for safe demolition and building dismantling, we work with high-performance specialist plants such as hydraulic platforms and high-reach excavators to get the job done on time, whilst causing as little disruption as possible.
Health and safety are always at the forefront of every operation we carry out, that’s why a thorough demolition risk assessment takes into consideration every single matter, to give you the ultimate peace of mind.
We’re also committed to sustainability in the construction industry and will reuse and recycle recovered materials as much as possible. This is achieved by segregating potentially reclaimable, salvageable and recyclable materials including the likes of timber, glass, building materials and metals, to minimise landfills and ensure that your construction project is as environmentally friendly as possible.
Every task that Rex Bishop & Son carries out is delivered to the highest standard with a team of specialists that take your specifications on board.
OUR DEMOLITION AND SITE CLEARANCE PROCESS
From start to finish we make your requirements a priority. From our first consultation, we’ll discuss your needs and timelines and provide an honest and transparent insight into how we’ll achieve this.
Whether you need construction works on part of a site or a complete site demolition, we’ll initiate a strategy for success. Before any work begins, it’s a legal requirement to have a Refurbishment and Demolition Survey carried out.
This enables us to locate and describe all ACMs in the area, or in the whole building, where refurbishment will take place. Involving a destructive inspection this is an important starting point for any project as we’ll need access to all areas, even those which can be tough to get into.
This is to examine structural stability, environmental impact, potential hazards and what permits will be required.
Once this has been signed off we’ll need to disconnect all utilities such as gas, sewage, electricity and water for a seamless transition and to reduce any hold-ups. Then it’s onto the site demolition itself.
From mechanical demolition to selective demolition or controlled implosion, this will be carried out in a controlled environment to ensure that no one is at risk of harm. As soon as this has been completed we’ll then clear the site to a high standard and level the land for future construction, whilst removing materials ready for recycling.
Finally, an inspection is essential to certify that the site is ready for future development and ready for the next phase of construction.
